High School Graduation Requirements Now Available

The New Jersey Department of Education has released the updated high school graduation assessment requirements in English Language Arts/Literacy (ELA) and mathematics for the Classes of 2019 through 2022. These requirements are available online.

Cherry Hill Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Joseph Meloche on Friday, August 30, 2019 sent a letter to New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, imploring him to insist on legislation that removes the State-mandated language requiring the withholding of meals as part of the Unpaid Meal policies required of public school districts statewide. Dr. Meloche has spoken with our state legislators about this topic as well. We will update the community about the response(s) to the letter when we receive them. In the meantime, for the 2019-2020 school year, all children will be fed lunch, every day.

UPDATE 8/23/19: On Tuesday, August 13, 2019, the Board of Education engaged in a discussion about Board Policy 8550Unpaid Meal Charges/Outstanding Food Service Charges. The most recent statement from Superintendent Dr. Joseph Meloche and Board of Education President Mr. Eric Goodwin regarding the the policy and upcoming discussion is available online. Also available is the August 15 statement from Dr. Meloche. The discussion will continue at the Board of Education Meeting on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 7 pm at the John A. Carusi Middle School cafeteria, 315 Roosevelt Drive.
