 Welcome to Joseph D. Sharp Elementary School!

At Sharp school our mission is to help students learn and grow together, while striving to do their best.  We work collaboratively with families to achieve that goal.  We show respect, responsibility, and good citizenship.  Each day at Sharp, our students are acquiring the knowledge, skills, and dispositions that are essential to their future success as contributing members and lifelong learners in an international society.

I am very excited to begin my twenty-seventh year in education and my thirteenth as principal at Sharp.  Our community thrives because of the care, empathy, and dedication shown by everyone working together for our students’ success. Sharp is a welcoming school thanks to the thoughtful actions of our staff, students, and families each day. I truly appreciate the strong support our families provide to both students and staff, and I look forward to strengthening our partnership.

At Joseph D. Sharp Elementary School, our staff is committed to welcoming and supporting every child. We believe it is our responsibility to help students grow by building the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in school and in life. We work hard to create a caring, forward-thinking learning environment where every child can thrive, and we remain dedicated to helping each student reach their fullest potential.

We are grateful for the strong support of our families and community, and we warmly encourage everyone to take part in the many opportunities to be involved in their child’s school experience. Our Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) plays a vital role in building connections by hosting school and family events, while also providing funding for enriching assemblies and special projects that enhance student learning.
